Sir Montgomery Burrows
The Gentleman Who Reads Between the Lines.
Each morning before the rest of the Society has stirred, Sir Montgomery Burrows has already settled into his favourite leather wingback with the latest edition of The Kingdom Gazette. Unlike Lord Snapworth, whose eye is fixed upon commerce, Sir Montgomery seeks the stories hidden beneath the headlines. Leaders and diplomats quietly await his weekly editorials, respected not because they are loud, but because they are almost always correct. He believes the wisest individuals are those who continue asking questions, no matter how much they already know.

- His study, lined from floor to ceiling with newspapers collected over decades, has become a meeting place for distinguished members.
