Raven · Royal Poet Laureate

Lord Edgar Blackquill

The Poet Who Gave Silence a Voice.

Lord Edgar Blackquill, a raven

No name is spoken with greater literary reverence than Lord Edgar Blackquill. Raised among the mist-covered towers of Northwatch, he preferred old books, a well-cut quill and the rhythm of rain against the library windows. After the Great Storm of Hollowmere he composed The Lanterns at Dawn; read aloud in the Royal Square, it transformed grief into gratitude, and a lantern is still lit beneath his study window on the poem’s anniversary. He believes words should comfort the lonely, preserve what time might erase, and help one heart recognise itself in another.
