Capybara · Keeper of the Royal Peace
Baron Clement Stillwater
The Gentleman Who Could Calm Any Room.

Baron Clement Stillwater is celebrated for a quality rarer than brilliance or wealth: complete and reassuring calm. Raised beside the Golden Reaches, the young capybara learned that a comfortable chair, a generous meal and patient attention could turn wary strangers into friends. During the Orchard Boundary Dispute he moved two noble households from the council chamber to his garden terrace; by afternoon they had agreed to share the land as a public orchard. He believes dignity begins with making others feel heard.

- Admiral Slowmere regards him as a kindred spirit, though their tranquil conversations have left impatient guests wondering whether the meeting has begun.
